The day I leave on my journey...

So, I've been asked by quite a few of you to put together a blog so you can keep up with me as I spend 12 weeks in New York City.  I must warn you first off that I am not a particularly great writer but instead type as I would speak.

Currently I'm at my parents house. It's about 12:41am and I spent about the last 40 minutes trying to figure out how to set this blog up.  hah! I hope this isn't a sign of things to come...

Packing is always a tricky thing.  How do you pack for 3 months you may ask?  I have no idea.  Stuff as much in as humanly possible.  Ahhh, everything is just so weird for me today.  I've been taking mental notes all day and trying to remember my time in Fort Collins this past summer.  It's funny...when you're forced to meet new people, it amazes me how many great ones are out there sometimes.  I'm sad to be leaving all my friends behind, but I promise I'll be back! See you in December!

I'm so nervous and I have no idea what I'm even to expect.  Should I expect a really crappy hostel for the first 30 days?  (for those of you who don't know, I'm living in Brooklyn until October 15th in a hostel)  Am I going to hate my internship? Will I get lost on the subway and have to backtrack?  It would be super if I were late to work on my first day.  Will some people be scummy and creepy? Anyways, I'm sure it's going to be an interesting experience.  I've never done anything like this in my life...yay for being adventurous!

Flight is at 10:03 this morning...I'll land around 1:10 or so.  Nap time for now.
